South Wales Metal Community To Raise Money For Rhythmix Charity

A live Metal music charity event 'Ninth Gate' is to take place at Cardiff's Clwb Ifor Bach on Sunday 20th November. The benefit gig, which features local metal acts Fell On Black Days (pictured), Evilive, Chaos Trigger, Charnel House (and more), is taking place to help raise money for Rhythmix, the charity involved in legal action over the X-factor copyright infringement.

ITV’s reality music talent show The X Factor recently upset the music charity over the naming of one of the groups competing in this year’s contest. Girl group Rhythmix, a band comprising of four failed solo applicants who were then brought together by the show’s bosses, are using the same name as the music charity.

One of the UK’s leading music charities, Rhythmix are now seeking legal advice due to the fact that their name is being used without permission. A Rhythmix spokesperson said recently that the X Factor team had made no agreement with the charity to use its name and that the charity “had no other choice” but to pursue legal action.

To help raise money for the charity, South Wales Heavy Metal Community have arranged 'Ninth Gate', special live Metal music event, for this Saturday 20th November at Cardiff live music venue Clwb Ifor Bach. With a number of local metal bands taking to the stage, providing their time free of charge, it seems the perfect opportunity to help raise money for a music charity that has helped deliver a large range of music making opportunities to vulnerable children and adults since 1999.
