Legendary pop and soul singer George Michael has been placed in intensive care following his bout of pneumonia, which forced him to cancel two gigs in Cardiff.
After already postponing a show in London’s Royal Albert Hall this year, Michael had to pull the plug on two shows in the Welsh capital after being struck down by the respiratory condition, which, telling from personal experience, totally sucks. The star has since been moved to a Vienna-based Hospital, where he has been placed into intensive care.
“George is very poorly,” the Daily Mirror’s source told them. “He's getting the very best care and we are all praying he gets better as soon as possible.”
His publicist reiterated the fact that Michael was in safe hands, writing “George is getting really great care. He's doing fine and he just needs to rest.”
Michael’s postponed London show has been re-arranged to go ahead in May next year, while his Cardiff shows are yet to be re-scheduled – though plans are in the pipeline. If you want tickets to any of his remaining tour dates, or to his new, re-scheduled shows, check the dates and details below.
