One Direction Happy To Feature On X-Factor Charity Single

X-Factor boyband One Direction have revealed that they were thrilled when they found out they’d been asked back to sing on this year’s X-Factor charity single, after visiting Rainbow Children’s Hospice earlier this year.

The ‘Gotta Be You’ singers featured on last year’s X-Factor charity single ‘Heroes’, which raised money for the Help For Heroes campaign. This time they’ll be singing on ‘Wishing on a Star’, a cover of Rose Royce’s 1978 hit single of the same name, alongside the hopefuls of this year’s show.

The lads told the Sun: “Simon wants to raise as much money as possible and we are right behind him. It's brilliant to be part of it. We were pleased to sing on the new charity single – it gives us a chance to show our support and it will help the kids to have fulfilling lives.”

They continued on to talk about their trip to a children’s care home, saying: “Making them smile gives you and them a fantastic feeling. You come away feeling you might have made a difference.”

The fund-raising single gets a release on November 27th, and will sit on shelves alongside the boys debut album ‘Up All Night’, which came out on November 21st.
