Ace Frehley Forced To Cancel December UK Tour Dates

American guitarist Ace Frehley has been forced to cancel his December UK tour dates after fracturing his left wrist in a fall at home.

The Space Ace was confirmed to play three UK shows at the start of December but has now been forced to cancel them, with the injury set to take approximately 10 days to heal. The three shows were booked for Cardiff, a festival show at North Wales' Hard Rock Hell and a show at London's Islington O2 Academy. Following the cancellation of the Hard Rock Hell show, Ace has announced he will headline the event next year.

Ace Frehley was a founding member and lead guitarist for the legendary band KISS. Taking on the 'Space Ace' persona when the band turned to costumes and theatrics, Frehley played with the group from its inception in 1973 until his departure in 1982.

After leaving KISS Ace forged a successful solo career which was put on hold while he reformed with KISS in 1996 for a massive reunion tour. He stayed with KISS until 2002 and left following what was supposed to be the band's Farewell Tour.

Now back recording and touring as a solo star, Ace Frehley's latest solo offering is titled 'Anomaly' and was released in September 2009.
