80s rock legends Motley Crüe have revealed that they’ll be making a huge announcement on Piers Morgan’s ‘Tonight’ Show which airs on CNN tomorrow and Friday night (1st and 2nd December).
After posting slightly cryptic clues through their Facebook page, including two pictures of the words ‘most’ and ‘notorious’ (with the ‘s’ and ‘i’ coloured in red respectively), the band will finally reveal the meaning behind the secretive clues they’ve been teasing fans with on television tomorrow night. The Crüe will reveal a third and final picture clue word today before they unveil the mystery – and it’s expected to read ‘band’, with the ‘n’ coloured red.
As with any surprise announcement by any band with a following the size of Crüe’s, there are hundreds of different theories and rumours flying around as to what the announcement will entail. The favourite and most popular of the rumours is the three red letters, which spell ‘sin’, point to Sin City – a.k.a Las Vegas, Nevada – where the band will become the first hard rockers to sign up for a residency at the Hard Rock Hotel, starting in February.
Obviously, there is speculation that there’ll be a new album, a world tour, a break-up and god knows more – but Nicki Sixx decided to continue teasing his faithful crowd of fans by writing through his Facebook: “Your guesses [based on the first clue] were good for something else, but not for this… If we went back in ‘history’ and it was a rattlesnake it would of [sic] bit you in the ass. The hint couldn’t be any clearer if it was the nose on your face… Let me make this clearer for you…:) …Any ideas now?”
You’ll have to wait until later in the week to find out just exactly what the guys have been hiding. Check out Stereoboard tomorrow!
