The Pet Shop Boys are set to release a B-side compilation album that commemorates a long lasting era in music.
The album, entitled ‘Format’ will compile 38 B-sides and bonus tracks that were released on singles from the years of 1996-2009.
This new album, which will be released in February 2012, is similar to the ‘Alternative’ album released by the band back in 1995.
‘Alternative’ had a similar premise to ‘Format’, where 30 B-side tracks were consolidated onto one album that proved a very popular hit with the Pet Shop Boys faithful.
The London town boys will be spending their new year’s celebrations in Australia, performing for an exclusive one-off gig in Sydney.
