Isle Of Wight Organisers Announce More Acts - Including Noel Gallagher

The long-running Isle of Wight Festival has announced a handful of new acts have been added for 2012’s event, including some of the biggest names in pop and rock at the moment.

Adding to a bill that already included Sunday’s headliner Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, organisers have really pulled out the stops this time around and will ensure that come June 22nd, there’ll be a massive party on the Isle of Wight.

Warming up the stage right before Springsteen’s headline set is ex-Oasis star Noel Gallagher with his new band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, who are taking the rock scene by storm right now. Indie rockers The Vaccines complete the Sunday line-up so far.

90s rockers Elbow have been confirmed to rock out late on Friday night, where they’ll be preceded by singer-rapper-songwriter Example and London-based folk band Noah and the Whale.

Saturday’s line-up only has two acts confirmed so far, but is still shaping into what will be a day packed with great music. So far, we know that Saturday will be hosted by Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro as well as 2tone and Ska band Madness.

The Isle of Wight Festival takes place on Friday 22nd of June through till Sunday 24th. If you’re looking for tickets for the event, check the link below to find the best priced available to you.
