Wretch 32 Collaborator Josh Kumra Releases Video for ‘Call Off the Search’

Sunday, 04 December 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Swindon-based soul singer Josh Kumra, who featured on Wretch 32’s chart-topping single ‘Don’t Go’ earlier this year, has released a video for his new track ‘Call Off the Search’. The song was co-written with Maiday, who also features in the video and previously worked with Kumra on ‘Don’t Go’. The track ‘Call Off the Search’ has also been made available as a free download at Josh Kumra’s Facebook page.

In addition to his talents as a singer-songwriter, Josh Kumra is also a self-taught guitarist, having first picked up a guitar at the age of three. The success that followed the release of ‘Don’t Go’ earlier this year has led to Kumra’s appearances at Glastonbury and V Festival.

Speaking to thisiswiltshire.co.uk, Kumra said: “My stuff is acoustic-based soul music with a modern twist like a Kanye West kind of production and I play the guitar as well. I’ve put everything into this and I know nothing is guaranteed in the music industry, but this is my life and I have worked so hard in the last 10 years to get to where I am now and I am enjoying it.”

Kumra recently signed to Sony RCA and is currently working on his debut album, which is expected to be released sometime next year.
