The Farm Announce Details Of 20th Anniversary London Show

Liverpool-based band The Farm have announced a 20 year anniversary show, performing their classic album ‘Spartacus’, for Saturday 19th May 2012.

Reliving the heady days of the early 1990s, London's O2 Academy Islington will host a performance by The Farm that will see the group deliver their 1991 Number One Album 'Spartacus' live in it's entirety. The album was released at the height of the 'Madchester' scene and stayed on top of the charts for a week.

One of the most popular songs featured on 'Spartacus' is 'Altogether Now'. The song spent an incredible three months in the Top Forty and became an anthem for a generation, adopted worldwide as a football/ anti-war classic. The song took its subject inspiration from the Christmas Day Truce in World War I where on Christmas Day 1914 soldiers from both sides put their weapons down and met in no-mans-land to exchange gifts and play football.

The group will be performing songs from their album ‘Spartacus’ as well as some of their other eight Top Forty singles.

The Farm UK Live Dates are as follows:
