Public Image Ltd To Re-Release And Re-Master Entire Back Catalogue

Post-punk veterans Public Imagine Ltd have announced that they’ll be re-releasing their entire back catalogue next year; to go alongside their brand new studio album they’ve been working on since their reformation in 2009.

The reissues will be re-mastered for fans too, meaning they’ll be able to hear every single one of their favourite’s albums in never-before-heard quality – except ‘Metal Box’, which was re-mastered and re-released last year – including two of their highly-regarded live albums.

Ex-Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon has also revealed that their working-progress album is most likely to be called ‘This is PiL’.

Lydon told BBC 6Music: “It is probably going to be called 'This is PiL' basically because it is, it is all the work, effort and energy we put into this record.”

The star went on to talk about how the band had to tour extensively for the past two years – just to be able to fund the new album they’re hoping to release at some point next year.

“I was always full of ideas,” Lydon explained, “but I had to wait until I had enough money to release an album. Everybody thinks I made such a fortune with the Sex Pistols. Well, unfortunately that is not true, to make this record we had to tour extensively for two years.”
