Adele To Make Live Return At Next Month's Grammy Awards

Multi-award winning singer Adele is set to make make her live return at next month's Grammy Awards ceremony.

Adele, who beat Lady Gaga and Michael Buble in the US end-of-year chart after selling 5.8 million copies of her album '21' in the States throughout 2011, has been out of action over the last few months following emergency microsurgery on her throat. The singer was forced to undergo the procedure due to a reoccurring vocal chord haemorrhage caused by a benign polyp, however, the singer recently received good news after doctors gave her the green light to perform live again.

A source close to Adele told Radar Online: "Adele will be at the Grammys in Los Angeles on February 12 at the Staples Centre. She's thrilled to be nominated, but it's been a hard time for her because of the surgery.

"She has begun talking more, with her doctor's permission. Adele's best friend in recent weeks has been warm compresses around her neck to help the healing process of her vocal chords."

The source continued: "Producers of the Grammys would love to have Adele perform, and open the show, but she isn't able to give them an answer yet. She won't be able to give them an answer until the beginning of February, and they completely understand."

Stereoboard reported yesterday that we could be seeing a “sexed-up” Adele on her return. The singer has reportedly given in to ‘weight pressure’ and embarked on a mission to become healthier and ‘sex-up her image’. The singer apparently made the decision shortly after her bout of vocal cord microsurgery, which forced her to cancel a whole US tour, as well as a handful of UK dates.
