Norwegian experimental quartet The Megaphonic Thrift have announced the release of their eponymous second album, which is due out on 7th February. The new album is the follow-up to their 2011 debut ‘Decay Decoy’.
The Megaphonic Thrift are based in Bergen, Norway and their line-up includes members of fellow Norwegian acts Casiokids and The Low Frequency in Stereo. An accompanying video to their new song ‘Tune Your Mind’ is available to watch below.
Speaking about the new album, Megaphonic Thrift bass player Linn Frokedal said: “It is spontaneous and schizophrenic because of how we wrote the songs. There were no rules so the diversity of the songs came naturally. It is lighter but also darker at times than ‘Decay Decoy’. In a way it is like a mirror for what has inspired us since that album was recorded.”
‘The Megaphonic Thrift’ Tracklisting:
1. Tune Your Mind
2. Raising Flags
3. Fire Walk With Everyone
4. Broken Glass

6. Moonstruck
7. I Wanted You To Know
8. Kill, Breathe and Frown
