Hardcore Swedish Rockers Refused Announce More Festival Slots + US Shows

Hardcore Swedish punk-rockers Refused have announced more festival dates to their epic comeback tour, as well as confirmed two US shows.

The band had previously lined-up performances at Way Out West, Øya Festival and Coachella, but have now decided to use their stay in the states when they fly out there for Coachella as an opportunity to put on a couple more gigs – scheduling shows in San Francisco’s The Warfield and the New York Terminal. These gigs will be either side of their two Coachella performances, with the festival now being held over two separate weekends.

As well as the extra UK dates, the band will now be putting on performances at Berlin’s Monster Bash, Belgium’s Groezrock, and a show in Milan, at the Arena Fiera Di Rho. The start of their comeback kicks off at their first Coachella appearance on April 13th, and continues until August 10th, at the Øya Festival in Norway.

The band have reformed over ten years after splitting in 1998, and released a statement through their website detailing the reasons of why they decided to get back together.

“It's been a motley 14 years since our band came apart. We've all kept busy in our respective endeavors but we've all remained friends and kept in touch. There have been offers, and lots of jokes about these offers. A reunion has just seemed irrelevant to us.”
