Welsh drum and bass star High Contrast has unveiled the new video to his track ‘The Agony and the Ecstasy’, which featured vocalist Selah Corbin.
The producer and DJ has finally finished work on his fourth studio album (also titled The Agony and the Ecstasy), his first since 2007’s ‘Tough Guys Can’t Dance’, which featured his seminal track ‘If We Ever’ – which still tears up raves all over the world today.
The new album has seen some experimental new tracks from High Contrast, a.k.a Lincoln Barrett, combining some new synth-heavy sound, collaborations with electronic production stars like Tiesto, and a dubstep track with his original sample-orientated sound.
While the first single from the album, ‘The First Note is Silent’ opened his music to a wider audience, ‘The Agony and the Ecstasy’ is more of a classic High Contrast sound – and the vocals fit the track perfectly.
The video was once again directed by Barrett himself, who used to study film in Newport before he began producing music. Filmed in locations all over his hometown Cardiff, you can watch the video below the tour dates.
