Ed Sheeran's '+' Tops UK Albums Chart Yet Again

Flame-haired singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has managed to top the album charts once again this year, after last week managing to sell over 78,000 tickets within just 24 hours of them going on-sale.

It’s the second time Sheeran’s debut ‘+’ has managed to smash it’s way to the top of the charts out of the blue, after resurging to #1 in the first week of January. The album came out in September last year, and went straight to the top in its first week – it’s since managed to earn a 3x platinum ranking.

Sheeran knocked Adele’s ‘21’ off the top, with the soul-singer’s second release now sitting in third spot, behind Coldplay’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’. Bruno Mars sits in #4 with ‘Doo Woops & Hooligans’, while Rizzle Kicks, who also happen to be close friends with Ed Sheeran, occupy #5 with their debut ‘Stereo Typical’.

New Barbados band Cover Drive have just managed to top the UK Singles Chart with just their second ever release ‘Twilight’. The single will feature on their debut album ‘Bajan Style’, which doesn’t yet have a release date.

House and dance producer David Guetta’s single ‘Titanium’ sits at #2, while Jessie J’s ‘Domino’ is right behind it in third place. Rizzle Kicks’ hit single ‘Mama Do the Hump’ is still in the charts at #4, after coming out on December 16th. Flo Rida’s ‘Wild Ones’ complete the top 5.
