Doris Day Release New Compilation Album

Veteran singer Doris Day is set to release a new compilation album which features a ‘delectable’ collection of the star’s greatest and most famous hits this March.

Image‘Doris Day: The Ultimate Collection’, hits shelves on March 12th, and features 24-tracks spanning the career of the legendary singer-actress , including the 1956 Oscar-winning tune, ‘Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera)’. Also on the collection is the beautiful ‘Dream a Little Dream of Me’, as well as ‘Sentimental Journey’, ‘Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps’, ‘When I Fall In Love’ and ‘It’s Magic’.

One of Hollywood’s brightest and prolific stars, Doris Day is a world-renowned icon and unforgettable figure of the 1950s and 1960s. From the long-ago ‘Sentimental Journey’ days to her 2011 return to the album charts with her latest record ‘My Heart’, from which she holds the record as the oldest artist to chart in the UK with a new album, Doris Day has been able to connect with listeners by singing a wide array of material.

The Ultimate Collection features everything from lushly-orchestrated ballads to bouncy novelty numbers, on which Doris Day imbued with both ease and conviction, bringing her natural warmth, impeccable phrasing and honest emotion to every song. These qualities also contributed to Doris ranking as one of the most admired film actresses of all time.
