Ex-Beatles legend Ringo Starr has confessed that he is an advocate of buying music digitally, claiming that musicians will just have to get used to the fact that people prefer to buy their music online.
Starr made the admission during an interview with Russell Brand, telling the star that he thinks fans only want to buy the tracks they like on an album and not the whole album itself – and also added that that was something he would do himself.
“It's a different time, and I'm afraid to say that's what I do,” Ringo told Brand. “If you made a record, I'd probably pick out tracks that I like and download that. That's just how it is. We have to go with that because it's changed. I love the modern technology now. I was a little opposed to it [at first] - 'Oh, in my day, we used to have a donkey turning the wheel, and two guys chewing tape to make it soft'.”
Starr yesterday released his 17th studio album ‘Ringo 2012’. The new record features star collaborating with an array of stars as well as a number of cover performances.
