Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer Set For First Tour In 17 Years

Shooting Stars Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are making plans to hit the road for their first UK tour in 17 years.

After Shooting Stars was axed by the BBC last year, Vic and Bob are preparing to head out on a UK tour with three mid-March warm-up dates confirmed to take place in Leeds at the City Varieties Music Hall. The show is set to feature sketches around a mix of old and new characters, including some from their 2004 sitcom 'Catterick'.

Speaking about the tour on BBC's 'Saturday Morning Kitchen, Vic Reeves said: “For merchandise – because I’ve been doing quite a bit of pottery recently – I’m going to make some mugs. Instead of T-shirts I fancy a craft stall. So handmade mugs, macramé hats. You could sell some of your chutneys."

Bob Mortimer has also taken to Twitter to ask fans what should be included on a tour: “We WILL do Catterick characters ... HAND”

If the warm-up dates prove to be a success, Vic and Bob will head out on a full-scale UK tour, their first since 1995. Tickets for the Leeds shows – expected to be March 18th to 21st – are yet to go on sale.
