'My Daughter Did Not Beat Me Up', Says Public Enemy's Flavor Flav

Flavor Flav, part of legendary hip-hop group Public Enemy, has publically denied claims that his daughter ‘beat him up’, after she was arrested during an apparent bust-up between the pair.

Dazayna Drayton was restrained and arrested by police after they were called to Flavor Flav’s home in Las Vegas because of heated argument between his daughter and one of her step-brothers. When Flav tried to step in and stop the fight, he was allegedly hit by Drayton. But, since then, her father has come forward to press to say that the incident was a ‘misunderstanding’ and that his daughter did not hit him.

Speaking to TMZ, Flav said: “The whole thing was a big misunderstanding that shouldn't have happened. No one in my family called the cops on my daughter and she did not beat me up. I love my daughter and will never let anything happen that could come between us.”

While Flavor Flav is no stranger to the back of a police car, having spent time in jail for robbery and burglary before he had finished the 11th grade, the rapper is now a much better behaved man – though he frequently gets into trouble over his driving.
