Jodie Marie, one of the brightest young singing talents to emerge from the UK in recent years, has announced a headline show at London's Bush Hall in May.
With her new single 'I Got You' recently added to the A-list at BBC Radio 2 and debut album 'Mountain Echos' due for release in March, hers is a star very much in the ascendancy.
Hailing from a small town in South Wales, isolated and withdrawn from the pop charts, Jodie was raised on a diet of blues music and Bonnie Raitt. In her own music she combines these influences with her own unique, soulful sound, evoking the work of greats such as Joni Mitchell, Tim Buckley and Carole King. At times it seems impossible to think Jodie is a mere 20 years of age when her stunning voice can silence a crowd in seconds.
Jodie Maire is set to transcend trends and convention with her debut album (produced by Bernard Butler and Ed Harcourt) that will be released in March 2012.
