To coincide with a full UK tour with The Answer, The Union return with double a-sided single on 12th March 2012. The single will include the tracks 'Make Up Your Mind' (2012 revised radio version), 'Obsession' (radio edit) and live tracks 'Cut The Line' and 'Obsession'. The singles are taken from The Union’s acclaimed second album 'Siren’s Song'.
Formed by guitarist Luke Morley and ex-Winterville vocalist/guitarist Peter Shoulder, The Union produce a very modern take on classic styles. Merging modern and classic rock, blues and country, the bands songwriting is pulled together by the powerful and emotive vocals of Peter Shoulder - one of only three British artists (the other two being Eric Clapton and Peter Green) to win a W.C. Handy Blues Foundation award, presented in Memphis in 2006 for co-writing the American Blues Song of the year 2006
'Siren’s Song' picks up where 'The Union' left off. From the gospel hints of opening track 'Siren’s Song' to the driving blues riffs of 'The Remedy', from jazz piano of ballad 'If I Could Make You Mine' to the infectious melodies of the rolling 'Obsession', 'Siren’s Song' features impeccable songwriting and stunning musicianship that flies the flag for British rock. The album was recorded at Rockfield Studios, Monmouth, Wales, the oldest residential studios in the world (Queen, Oasis), and was produced by Luke Morley and Peter Shoulder and mixed by Nick Brine (currently producing The Darkness' comeback album).
