Odd Future's Earl Sweatshirt Back With New Track

Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt has posted a new song entitled ‘Home’, which has filled OFWGKTA fans with hope that the rapper has finally returned from Samoa – despite uncertainty about whether Sweatshirt is still part of the group.

Earl, a.k.a Thebe Kgositsile, was apparently sent by his mother to stay in Samoa’s Coral Reef Academy, a all-boys boarding school which helps kids deal with depression and drug issues. But, with Sweatshirt’s 18th birthday coming up, he’ll be able to decide whether he wants to attend the school any longer – and it looks like he’s already dropped out.

While Tyler, The Creator posted details of Odd Future’s latest mixtape ‘OF Tape Vol2’, it was revealed that Sweatshirt wouldn’t be appearing on the album, casting doubt over his future in the rap collective. But, just a couple of hours later, Tyler tweeted the message: “Oh. Thebe Has....I Mean Earl Has A Twitter. @earlxsweat

Sweatshirt’s Twitter was then updated with the message ‘Home’, before posting a preview of a new track (‘Home’) with the message: “nigga need followers. give me 50,000 and i'll release this shit for everybody.” After receiving the 50,000 followers – he’s now up to 76,600 in less than a day – he posted a link to a website with the track on.

But, while there’s a new track, a new Twitter and posts from Tyler, fans should still be wary that the whole thing is a hoax – Tyler has already ‘trolled’ fans into believing that Sweatshirt was home again back in November.
