Gary Numan Announces New May/June UK Tour

New Wave pioneer Gary Numan has announced a new UK tour for May and June, following the release of his latest album 'Dead Son Rising' in October last year.

‘Dead Son Rising’ was released on 24th October and is Numan’s first original album in five years, following 2006’s ‘Jagged’. Speaking about ‘Dead Son Rising’, Numan said: “The original ideas that sparked off these songs are now barely visible. It’s grown into another animal, something more experimental.”

Gary Numan’s career has spanned nearly 35 years, during which time he has influenced the likes of Prince, Nine Inch Nails and Kanye West. In 2009, he released a special 30th anniversary edition of his classic third album ‘The Pleasure Principle’, which features the hit single ‘Cars’. At the height of his career during the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, Gary Numan achieved five Top 10 albums and numerous Top 40 singles. His music has been sampled by a number of different artists such as the Sugababes, who used a portion of his track ‘Are Friends Electric?’ on their 2001 hit ‘Freak Like Me’.
