London-based prog-metallers The Safety Fire have announced details of a UK co-headlining tour with The James Cleaver Quintet in March. The new dates precede the release of the band’s debut album ‘Grind the Ocean’, which is due out on 9th April. The official video to the album’s lead single ‘Huge Hammers’ is available to watch below.
Last year, The Safety Fire performed on the Jagermeister Stage at Knebworth’s Sonisphere Festival and toured with fellow UK metallers Rise To Remain. The band’s forthcoming live dates will include an appearance at Takedown Festival in Southampton on Sunday 18th March.
The Safety Fire were formed in London in 2006 and released their debut EP ‘Sections’ in 2009.
Speaking about their upcoming tour dates, The Safety Fire’s lead vocalist Sean McWeeney said: “We're really excited to be going out with The James Cleaver Quintet. I think we both bring a huge amount of energy to our live shows so this should be an explosive short UK run before we head over to the US to tour with Protest The Hero and Periphery. Southampton, Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Bristol, and Nottingham - prepare yourselves!”
