Eccentric pop superstar Lady Gaga has praised soul singer Adele following her Grammy Award success, which saw Adele pick up a haul of six gongs.
Adele managed to pick up half a dozen awards, including two for her massively-selling album ‘21’ and three for her single ‘Rolling in the Deep’ – while she also made the prestigious achievement of scoring album, song and record of the year.
So, it’s no surprise that ‘Born This Way’ star Lady Gaga has taken to Twitter to praise the superstar, who was one of the highest-selling international superstars of 2011.
Gaga wrote: “What a beautiful night last night was, Adele deserved every award she won and perhaps an extra one for being such a kind and lovely woman.”
Unfortunately for herself, Gaga failed to pick up any awards at the ceremony – the three categories she was nominated in - ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’, and ‘Best Pop Solo Performance’ – were all won by Adele.
