60’s surf rockers The Beach Boys have announced a long run of US dates which mark the start of their 2012 international comeback tour.
The announcement comes after their recent addition to the Bonnaroo Music Festival, which they’ll be headlining in June. The massive US tour will take them to 37 different venues across America and Canada, and will kick off on April 24th at the Anselmo Valencia Amphitheatre in Arizona.
The tour will celebrate 50 years since the band kicked off their career, and the Boys have revealed that they’ll be travelling to locations across the world for shows for a 50-date international tour – meaning more dates and details will be announced in the near future. There’s also three European dates which have already been announced, which are lined-up for July and August.
The band played together for the first time in 20 years at the Grammy Award ceremony last Sunday, and are now gearing up for what will be there first tour with band member Brian Wilson for 46 years. The line-up for the tour as is close to the original line-up as possible; Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine will perform alongside touring members Bruce Johnston and David Marks. Dennis and Carl Wilson, died in 1983 and 1998 respectively.
