Legendary guitarist Slash has confirmed further details on his anticipated second solo studio album, unveiling a UK release date of 21st May for the new offering which is to be titled 'Apocalyptic Love'. The guitarist has also revealed the album's artwork over at his official website www.slashonline.com.
The album is set for release in the UK on 21st May, hot-on-the-heels of the induction of his first band Guns N' Roses into the Rock & Roll Hal Of Fame. Stereoboard recently reported that all five original members of Guns N Roses are expected to attend the induction ceremony, quite something when you consider Slash and frontman Axl Rose have not spoken for years.
Slash's ‘Apocalyptic Love’ is to feature the vocal talents of Myles Kennedy once again, with the singer co-writing all the songs with the iconic guitarist. Brent Fitz on drums and bassist Todd Kerns completes the band's line-up.
Eric Valentine, who worked alongside Slash in producing the guitarist's debut solo album, remains as producer for the second album and Slash has revealed he and his band will embark on a short US tour in May to promote the new material. Check back to Stereoboard for details on a Slash's UK tour as soon as dates are confirmed.
Slash has been documenting the recording progress of 'Apocalyptic Love' and has so far released three “webisodes” online. Check them out below.
