Slash Announces S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Live Album And Concert Film

Tuesday, 23 September 2025 Written by Jon Stickler

Slash has announced a live album and concert film captured during his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Tour in 2024.

'Live At The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival' was recorded live at Denver's Mission Ballroom on July 17, with the show a part of the inaugural North American all-star roadshow, which celebrated blues music along with the Guns N' Roses guitarist's 2024 solo album, 'Orgy Of The Damned'.

As a preview, Slash has shared a clip from the concert film, a blistering cover of Peter Green's Oh Well, performed with his band Blue Balls (pictured), featuring long-time collaborator Teddy "ZigZag" Andreadis, Tash Neal, Johnny Griparic and Michael Jerome.

Other songs in the set include takes on blues classics like Parchman Farm Blues, Killing Floor, Born Under a Bad Sign, and Key To The Highway, plus an original track, Metal Chestnut, wrapping up with an encore featuring It Takes A Lot To Laugh and Shake Your Money Maker.

Slash also appears in several interview segments throughout the film, where he reflects on his love for the blues and his personal connection to the genre. Both the album and film will be released on November 7 via earMUSIC.

The six-week S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Tour, an acronym for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Equality N' Tolerance, featured Slash performing with special guests, including Warren Haynes, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, ZZ Ward, Larkin Poe, Jackie Venson and more. It raised over $125,000 for five non-profit organisations selected by the guitarist, supporting mental health, equality, and underserved communities.
