Arriving via Mike Skinner's 45th Generation Roman label, the track deals in the frontman's trademark mix of wit, dark humour and uncomfortable truths. Serving up a restless energy, it was penned by Skinner and his live band over several weeks during the group's European tour.
Head below for the song's video, which features brutalist architecture across the continent reflecting its theme of finding beauty in imperfections. Skinner explained:
"You can’t make Utopia — that’s the point. It’s about acting in the here and now, there isn’t an ideal endgame - We’re not waiting for perfection. We just have to move and keep moving and find the good in what surrounds us, as brutal(ist) as that may be."
The Streets returned last month with the single Brave St Andrew, written for the Amazon Prime Video documentary Built In Birmingham: Brady and the Blues. It followed earlier tracks You Think You've Been Buried and How To Win At Rock Paper Scissors.
Last summer, Skinner dropped a remixed edition of 'Fabric Presents The Streets' which included the singles End Of The Queue and No Better Than Chance. Their latest album, 2023's 'The Darker The Shadow, The Brighter The Light', has a companion film currently streaming on YouTube.
Earlier this year, The Streets headlined Meltdown Festival's opening night at London’s Royal Festival Hall, curated by Little Simz. A major 2026 tour announcement is just around the corner.
