Mark Ronson Claims Katy B Is The Best Young London Singer Since Lily Allen

Producer, DJ, musician and all-round talent Mark Ronson has claimed that ‘On a Mission’ singer Katy B ‘reps London harder’ than any artist since Lily Allen burst on to the music scene a number of years ago.
The star, who has worked with dubstep production trio Magnetic Man among others, has just finished a track with Ronson for a Coca-Cola advert to run during the 2012 London Olympics; ‘Anywhere in the World’. It seems she made quite the impression on Ronson during their sessions – with the award-winning man singing her praises in an interview with the Rolling Stone.
“I think Katy B encapsulates young London in a way I never could. She reps London harder than anyone song-wise since Lily Allen.”
He went on to talk about their track ‘Anywhere in the World’, saying: “This gives me an opportunity to have our songs played in places that have never heard of us. The Coke people have always seemed dedicated to exposing talent that's not so obvious. They could have signed will.i.am. I feel pretty lucky that this is something I get to be part of.”
According to reports, Ronson taped microphones to the legs of athletes while they trained – so he could use the grunts and groans they made during their exercises in the track.
