Paul Simon To Headline London's Hard Rock Calling?

According to The Guardian newspaper, Paul Simon will be performing at this Summer's Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park on 15th July.

The newspaper reports Paul Simon will return to the UK in July to perform 'Graceland' 25 years since he toured the album here, playing six sold-out dates at London's Royal Albert Hall. 'Graceland' has sold over 14million copies across the world and with hits such as 'Call Me Al' and 'The Boy In The Bubble', it is regarded as Paul Simon's finest album.

For his Hard Rock Calling show, there are rumours that Ladysmith Black Mambazo will join Paul onstage. The South African choir appeared on the original album recording.

The 25th anniversary of 'Graceland' will see a re-release of the album, as well as the release of a documentary about Paul revisiting South Africa where the album was originally recorded in 1985. The original release of the 'Graceland' was blighted with controversy after Paul was accused of breaching the cultural boycott against the ruling regime of apartheid-era South Africa.

Hard Rock Calling will officially confirm it's new headline act on Monday 19th March.
