2000Trees Announce A Whopping 33 New Bands

Don’t say they don’t spoil us, the humble man’s favourite festival - 2000trees - has given a surprise midweek present in the form of thirty-three (yeah you read that right) new bands to add to their already stunning line-up for this summer’s bash down in Gloucestershire.

On the main stage, newly confirmed sets by Dry the River, Maybeshewill and Lanterns on the Lake will undoubtedly be highlights but the bulk of the new band activity seems to have taken place on the heavier Cave stage. Future of the Left are slated to headline the Saturday night with their ever-unique, ever-totally awesome brand of noise rock.

Joining them will be the likes of Lower than Atlantis, The James Cleaver Quintet, Arcane Roots and Stereoboard faves Antlered Man. This only scratches the surface of the line-up though. The Leaf Lounge stage will see newly confirmed sets from the likes of Lightguides, Then Thickens, Billy Vincent and 2000trees stalwarts Jim Lockey & the Solemn Sun. Meanwhile, the tiny Greenhouse stage will once again feature a Saturday headlining set by Frank Turner approved singer-songwriter Ben Marwood.

There are still gaps in the line-up to be filled, notably the Saturday night main stage headliner, but 2000trees already has a bill that wipes the floor with most other festivals in the UK this summer. Be there or…be square?

2000trees takes place from the 12th to 14th July. Tickets are available from www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk along with more information.
