Viva Brother Announce Split

Slough-based Britpop band Viva Brother have announced their split just two years and one album into their career.

The band were a relatively new force on the scene and were championed by NME as one of the big names to look out for in the future. But, after a rather disappointing debut album – which NME went on to give negative reviews – the band have decided to call it time half-way through work on what would have been a second studio album.

Writing through their official Twitter page, the band told fans: “Thank you to everyone that has ever supported us or believed. It has been an unbelievable journey. This is us signing off. Goodbye. And as for NME. Shame on you.”

They then posted a final song, along with the message: “We'll leave you with this last song. We recorded it a couple of months ago.”

You can hear the track below.
