Professor Green Admits Its 'A Wind-Up' To Get Asked To Rap And Freestyle

British rapper Professor Green has confessed that it is rather annoying when people continually ask him to rap – and said he’d ‘punch’ anyone who tried to rap battle him in the face.
Green rose to fame after winning MySpace’s £50,000 ‘Jump Off’ rap battle tournament back in 2008, but, now that he’s a famous rap and hip-hop star, he hasn’t really got the time to return to the days of the 1v1 battles. But, he still asked dozens of times a day to take someone on or show off his freestyle abilities – and it’s something Green, quite frankly, finds annoying.
When asked by Q Magazine if anyone could challenge to a contest, he replied: “Not unless they wanted a punch in the face. If they asked politely I'd politely tell them to fuck off. Every time I do a radio or TV interview, they're like, 'You used to freestyle - so go on then'. I'm not a monkey with a box full of 50 pence pieces. If you saw [former racing driver] Nigel Mansell you wouldn't say, 'give us a quick lap'. It's a bit of a wind up.”
