Professor Green is an English rapper/singer-songwriter hailing from Hackney, London. Acquiring the name after spending a period of his younger life selling weed on the streets, he became interested in rapping and freestyling after giving it a go at a house party. Realising he had a talent, he decided to start freestyling competitively - and found success.
After winning a MySpace freestyle competition (JumpOff) for a hefty £50,000 prize, he must have thought his luck had hit its peak - but, little did he know, this was just the beginning. The year later, he was touring alongside popstar Lily Allen, which earned him a deal with Virgin.
After that, Professor Green never looked back. His debut album 'Alive Till I'm Dead' came out in 2010, hit #2 in the UK Albums charts - spawing hit singles 'I Need You Tonight', 'Just Be Good To Green' and 'Monster'. Touring the country, his position in UK music royalty was confirmed, and work on a second album began.
2011's 'At Your Inconvenience' became his second Top 5 hit, and birthed his best-selling single so far; the platinum-selling, chart-topping Emeli Sande collab Read All About It. Now a household name, festival favourite, and venue-selling-out performer, his third album 'Growing Up in Public' came out in 2013, followed by a handful of 2018 singles Unruly, Mercedes Riddim, and Count On You.
Professor Green has lined up a London show November 2018. Catch him live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
