Garbage Unveil Music Video For New Single 'Blood For Poppies' - Watch Now

Alternative rockers Garbage have just unveiled the official music video for new track 'Blood For Poppies'.

It's been a long time coming but now Shirley Manson, Butch Vig, Steve Marker and Duke Erikson are back! They’ll be releasing new album 'Not Your Kind Of People' on May 15th on their very own Stunvolume record label.

Garbage, who reformed back in February 2010, have already unveiled their new track 'Blood For Poppies', which was temporarily available as a free download on www.garbage.com. Today the four-piece have debuted the accompanying official music video. Check it out below.

The 'Blood For Poppies' music video was shot in Los Angeles and directed by renowned fashion photographer and filmmaker Matt Irwin and inspired by visual artists like Magritte, Maya Deren, Luis Brunel and Francesca Woodman. “We piled into a transit van with the ridiculously talented team of Matt Irwin and Aaron Brown and hopped around little pockets of Los Angeles creating a gorgeous surrealist dream. We ate ice cream sandwiches in the sunshine and laughed a lot. I didn’t want the shoot to end,” said the band’s Shirley Manson.

On April 21st for Record Store Day, Garbage will release 'Blood For Poppies' on a limited edition, white vinyl 7-inch that will feature the track and an exclusive remix by drummer Butch Vig.

New album 'Not Your Kind Of People' will be released in both a Standard and a Deluxe edition. Garbage have announced a string of Summer UK dates to follow their already sold-out show at London's Troxy. Tickets for Garbage are onsale now.
