Garbage have announced a major outdoor show in Scotland for the summer.
The influential alt-rock band will headline Edinburgh Castle on July 11, with tickets on general sale at 10am on Friday (December 5). Vocalist Shirley Manson said:
"Bringing my band home for what most likely will be our last headline show in Scotland, feels both poignant and triumphant. It’s a full circle moment for me and it means the world. To be asked to grace the stage with Edinburgh Castle as our backdrop will be, without doubt, one of the greatest honours of my professional career."
The show will follow the band's run of co-headline outdoor UK dates with Skunk Anansie next June, tickets for which are on sale now.
The four-piece will kick off the Australian and New Zealand leg of their Happy Endings Tour this week, marking their first headline shows Down Under since 2016, and their first visit to New Zealand since 2013. They were also recently added to the line-up for next spring's Bearded Theory festival in Derbyshire.
Garbage are touring behind their eighth studio album, 'Let All That We Imagine Be The Light', which was released in May.
Other headliners confirmed for the Edinburgh Castle Concerts Series include Snow Patrol, Callum Beattie, Deacon Blue and James Taylor. Tickets for those shows are on sale now.
