X-Factor boyband One Direction have continued their complete domination of the world, with the boys now setting their sights on Australia after taking over the US with ease.
The group are set to put on some rare performances in the country, and have already caused hysterics amongst Aussie teenage girls – despite being in the country just a day. The band arrived at an airport in Sydney to hundreds of young females who'd spent the entire day camping out for a chance to catch their favourite British and Irish boyband – who ended up sneakily leaving through a back door, leaving their fans disappointed.
While arriving at an airport full of fans is not uncommon for stars of their calibre, police reckon their could be carnage on the weekend – when the boys are set to perform at the Logie award ceremony. The authorities are so concerned, in fact, they've advised that parents lock their children indoors - as they think their could be a teenage riot in the streets.
A Logie Award spokesperson said: “We are getting more security and more police. Our main priority surrounding the performance is the safety of those fans attending and the community surrounding the Crown precinct, as well as the boys themselves. We are totally across it. We have seen what this band has caused across the world - they shut down streets in Paris when they appeared in-store recently.”
It seems One Direction are quite clearly the world's most famous boyband at the moment, and are representing the UK on an international level.
