Hip-hop and R&B star Nicki Minaj has reportedly told Tim Westwood that she is considering a retirement from the music industry, despite her début studio album 'Pink Friday' only hitting shelves two years ago.
The news comes just a week after Minaj made the decision to delete her Twitter account account following a bust-up with a fan who leaked previews of her brand new album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded', and could could mean no third album for the star, who tours the UK in June. Minaj explained to Westwood on his BBC Radio 1 show that she was kind of unhappy at the reception of her latest album, and said that some 'ungrateful' fans are making her want to quit the game – though it's hard to tell how serious she was being.
She told the host: “People aren’t even giving the kid props for taking it back to that essence. This is my fourth mixtape, really. The kid did like that to feed her fans. But really now, the kid thinking maybe she should leave the game. Not my babies, not my barbz, but all these other folk... ...make the kid leave the game.”
So, if Minaj is really considering retirement, her up and coming UK tour may be the last time you'll catch her on stage. Nicki Minaj UK & Ireland Tour Dates are as follows:
