Scissor Sisters frontwoman Ana Matronic has claimed that the 'happiest moments' of her life have been when she's on stage with her band.
The band have been working on their fourth studio album 'Magic Hour' for a number of months and will release the record on May 28th. Because of the studio time they've been putting in, they've had to hold back on some of their live shows something which Matronic absolutely loves. She loves it so much, in fact, that she's confessed that the happiest points in her life are when she's rocking out with her band onstage and not at home with her husband Seth Kirby.
There is a lot of work involved with touring and it's difficult being away from home, Matronic said. I do really enjoy being at home. I'm a gardener and I love being in the garden. It's tough to leave. It's so lovely to have someone at home who keeps you grounded. On the other hand, there is nowhere I would rather be than on the stage!
She went on to talk about the bond she shared with the rest of her band citing this as a reason for their decision to get back on the road. She said: As a band, we're so close and that definitely helps. We're there for each other when the s**t hits the fan, as it were, and when the chips are down.
The Scissor Sisters will perform two shows in London on May 16th and 17th, at the Sheperd's Bush Empire. If you're a fan and are in need of tickets, check the dates and details below.
