Alternative outfit CourageHaveCourage have posted their new track 'Lioness' online, meaning you can stream it right now – check it out below.
Born and raised on the island of Guernsey, COURAGEHAVECOURAGE began writing their bright up-beat brand of energetic, British guitar music in student flats of West London in early 2011. The band received national radio and television coverage before even setting foot on stage together thanks to instant support from Kerrang! Radio and BBC Introducing. Early demos subsequently saw them championed as Alex Baker's, "Featured Artist" on Kerrang! Radio in February 2011, providing a platform for them to burst on to the London live circuit.
In June 2011, CourageHaveCourage completed a successful national tour supporting a self-titled mini album; their exciting and engaging live performances earning them a Main Stage festival slot at Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts, alongside the likes of Frank Turner, The Gaslight Anthem, Ocean Colour Scene, Example and Primal Scream. The band also played the BBC Introducing stages at Reading & Leeds festival to critical acclaim.
Vocalist Luke Vidamour comments, "Last year things moved so much quicker than we could have ever imagined, and we found ourselves amongst that fighting to spend time pursuing our direction and identity as a band.
“Since the festival season we took a step back and have been working really hard, and now have so much material lying around that we feel we could make a really honest album. We stopped listening to the music and opinions that were around us and started making something that felt right for us. Its a heavy, haunting and beautiful sound that cuts through expectations and says something else.
“It's a great position to be at the moment where we are so inspired, and moving off of that energy and momentum is really exciting. We're enjoying where we are as a band and are beginning to find our feet. We are making something we believe in and that is what is important to us in this next season."
