Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood has yet again hinted at the idea of a Rolling Stones reunion despite apologising to his bandmates earlier in the year for suggesting the band had been back in the studio.
Speculation has been rife that the Stones would reunite once again to celebrate their 50th anniversary, which falls on July 12th, but its been said that any reunion will be taking place in 2013. But now, Wood has suggested that they could return before the end of the year and hinted that they may hit the road in October and November.
Speaking to The Sun, Wood revealed: It looks like we are going to be doing more stuff. I am keeping October/November free, thats what I've been told. I'm just awaiting more information.
Interestingly, he also rubbished the idea of the band bringing out some new material and said: "New ones? Are you joking? We are familiarising ourselves with our back catalogue and have only scratched the surface.
The new comments don't change the fact that nothing has yet been confirmed, and simply stoke the ongoing fire of rumours and speculation surrounding their reunion. But, if you can't wait for any kind of comeback to come around, you can get your Rolling Stones fix from their brand new picture book, which features over 700 images as well as commentary from the band. That hits shelves on July 12th.
