Carly Connor Announces T In The Park Show & Summer UK Tour

Carly Connor has announced she will be performing at this year’s T In The Park. She will be a special guest on the T Break stage on Saturday 7th July. Carly is a regular at T and cannot wait to play one of the UK’s largest festivals: “I just about wet myself when I heard and I am not even kidding. When I found out I was blown away. It’s such a big thing for me.”
Carly will warm up for the show with a UK tour in June and July, including a return to the legendary King Tuts in Glasgow where she stunned the audience with a typically powerful performance in February.
Carly is currently recording her album that will be released through Atlantic Records later in the year and has been working with an impressive line-up of producers including Angelo Petraglia (Kings Of Leon) in Nashville and Daniel Ledinsky (Cee Lo Green) in Stockholm, and more recently with Kid Harpoon (Florence and the Machine). The first of these tracks will be released as an EP on July 2nd. This will comprise of the lead single 'Let Go To Be Free' plus 'The Road' and 'Walking In The Sand'.
At just 20, Carly has already racked up an impressive live résumé having supported fellow Scots The View & Paolo Nutini on tour last year. She also played to 10,000 fans at the Estadio Municipal in Milan. On top of this she was selected by Claude Nobs to play at last year’s Montreux Jazz Festival, billed alongside Chaka Khan, as well as impressive performances at the 2011 Arthur’s Day in Dublin and 2011 Rockness. Carly is planning to embark on an extensive European tour later this year.
