Jennifer Lopez Takes Lady Gaga's Position As Most Powerful Celebrity

Latino singer and actor Jennifer Lopez has managed to overtake eccentric pop superstar Lady Gaga as the most powerful celebrity of the moment, according to ranking compilers Forbes.
The new rankings, which are based on their internet presence, gross earnings, and press coverage – and the American Idol judge has managed to top the list, finishing even above talk-show host Oprah Winfrey, who earned triple the amount of Lopez in the past year.
Lady Gaga, on the other hand, dropped down to fifth place following her #1 finish time around, despite the release of her new album and her new world tour. Canadian teen star Justin Bieber managed to hit the #3 spot, and was closely followed by Rihanna, completing the top 5.
Forbes commented on the new list, saying: “Numerous celebrities are leverage-ing their fame to make early-stage investments or launch start-ups themselves.” Jennifer Lopez is apparently a great example of this, and manages her time between music, touring, judging American Idol, endorsing products – with Forbes even stating her divorce as a source of power. They described her as 'a state-of-the-art celebrity success story.'
Another example is Justin Bieber, whom they say “is also a serious investor, with stakes in a dozen companies that appeal to his tech savvy, including a chunk of Spotify.” Bieber recently spoke about his career, which he says is 'modelled after Michael Jackson', and revealed that his manager Scooter Braun wants him to become a 'mini mogul' who can look after himself later in life.
