Dexy's Midnight Runners, or just Dexys as they prefer to be now called, have announced a UK tour for September. Tickets for Dexys are onsale this Friday at 9am.
Performing under the banner of “Dexys”, the band will kick-off a 10-date run of live shows at Cambridge's Corn Exchange on 11th September. The tour visits venues in Birmingham, Southampton, London, Gateshead, Edinburgh, Brighton, Manchester and Liverpool before concluding with a show at Oxford's New Theatre on 25th September.
Dexys are currently gearing up for the release of their anticipated new studio album 'One Day I'm Going To Soar', set for release on 4th June. The new album will be the band's first offering of material since their 1985 album 'Don't Stand Me Down' and features band members Kevin Rowland, Mick Talbot, Pete Williams and Jim Paterson as well as new additions Neil Hubbard, Tim Cansfield, Madeleine Hyland, Lucy Morgan and Ben Trigg.
In addition to the tour, Dexys will also be appearing at this summer's Latitude and Lounge On The Farm festivals.
