Swedish singer-songwriter The Tallest Man On Earth today announces a show at London’s HMV Forum on 22nd October. This new London show will follow his sold out Hackney Empire show on 3rd July. Tickets for The Tallest Man On Earth are onsale this Friday at 9am.
The Tallest Man On Earth is Kristian Matsson a songwriter from Dalarna, Sweden. Matsson spent the winter months of late 2011 and early 2012 in his home studio in Dalarna, recording this, his third full-length album 'There’s No Leaving Now' out 11th June through Dead Oceans.
Matsson’s following is ever growing in fervor and size, he has appeared on the BBC’s Later with Jools Holland and sold out London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Hackney Empire. The Tallest Man On Earth’s trajectory is so precipitous that he has gone from supporting Bon Iver at NYC’s Town Hall, to selling out two nights at the same venue. The first track '1904' to be revealed from 'There’s No Leaving Now' was one of the most downloaded tracks last week and The Tallest Man on Earth was named the Most Blogged Artist on Hype Machine.
The Tallest Man on Earth will be touring in 2012 in support of 'There’s No Leaving Now', with sold out shows in London, Stockholm, Amsterdam, New York and Toronto and festival appearances including a headlining slot at Green Man Festival (Far Out Stage) and an appearance at Hop Farm.
