As I Lay Dying Unveil New Track 'Cauterize' - Listen Now

Californian metalcore outfit As I Lay Dying have unveiled their brand new track ‘Cauterize’, what is expected to be the first track previewed from their forthcoming new album ‘Awakened’.

The five-piece will premiere the new song via their website for free today (June 25th) starting at 8:00am for 24 hours only. It will then be available for download on iTunes and online everywhere the next day.

As I Lay Dying are currently holed up in the Blasting Room with renowned rock producer Bill Stevenson, who's also the drummer for Descendents (and formerly Black Flag); and mixer Colin Richardson. The group - consisting of guitarists Nick Hipa and Phil Sgrosso, vocalist Tim Lambesis, drummer Jordan Mancino, and bassist Josh Gilbert - are putting the finishing touches on their new album ‘Awakened’, which is due out September 24th on Metal Blade.

‘Awakened’ marks the follow-up the Decas EP (which came out in 2011) that reached #2 on the iTunes Rock Char, and the group's last LP ‘The Powerless Rise’’, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at #10. ‘The Powerless Rise’ also reached #2 on Billboard's Independent Albums Chart and #3 on Billboard's Hard Music Albums Chart, making it one of the band’s most successful records to date.

You can catch As I Lay Dying alongside headliners Trivium, Caliban, and Upon a Burning Body on tour this October. Check the dates and details below to find tickets.
