Newton Faulkner Announces New Single 'Brick By Brick' Release Date

Brit-nominated acoustic guitar virtuoso Newton Faulkner has announced that he’ll release brand new single ‘Brick By Brick’ - the third track to be taken from his #1 album ‘Write It On Your Skin’ - on August 9th.
The infectious track wriggled into life on the first day of recording the album in LA, after Sam Farrar (Phantom Planet) helped write and produce it in his garage along with Toby Faulkner, Newton’s brother.
Speaking of the track, Faulkner said: “You say to me ‘let’s record in LA’, and in my head I see a big swanky hotel, a big swanky studio, really expensive producer and just all-out glossy LA style. Instead I was in a Holiday Inn Express and every day I’d walk to a guy’s garage.”
Faulkner himself isn’t a glossy celebrity, and he’s even spoken of his ability to stay hidden from his fans - as long as it’s raining...
“For some reason if it’s raining it can’t be me – but if the sun’s shining, then it’s definitely me! I’m completely affiliated with the sun. I get that now.”
Newton has previously sold over 1 million albums in the UK alone, while his debut ‘Hands Built By Robots’ spent over 10 months inside the Top 40 Album Charts and became one of the Top 20 Biggest Selling UK digital albums of all time.
