Second Birmingham, Nottingham & Manchester Dates Confirmed For Jesus Christ Superstar Tour & Tickets

Due to demand, new shows at Birmingham's NIA, Nottingham's Capital FM Arena and Manchester's Arena have been added to the 2012 Jesus Christ Superstar UK and Ireland arena tour. These new shows are announced shortly after a second date at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena was confirmed earlier this week.
Ben Forster has won the role of Jesus in the UK’s first ever arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. Starring Alongside Tim Minchin, Melanie C and Chris Moyles. Award-winning musical comedian Tim Minchin – also the co-writer of West End smash musical Matilda – is confirmed for the role of ‘Judas Iscariot’. Three million album selling pop icon and former Spice Girl Melanie C will take the only female lead as ‘Mary Magdalene’, and BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show host Chris Moyles will make his major stage debut as ‘King Herod’.
For the first time in the history of musical theatre, 60,000 people will see Jesus Christ Superstar in its opening week. The arena tour has already sold in excess of 100,000 tickets and generated advance box office sales of over £5 million. Jesus Christ Superstar will give arena audiences the opportunity to witness a full production of the musical including a full staging and live band. Fans from Cardiff to Newcastle to Glasgow will be able to experience the legendary rock classic on an arena stage for the very first time.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary rock classic Jesus Christ Superstar will tour the UK and Ireland, visiting some of the country's biggest arenas, in September and October.
