More Stages And Acts Announced For Bestival 2012 With Rizlab And Arcadia's Mechanical Cabaret

Bestival’s Main Stage and Big Top may play host to some of the music world’s biggest hitters like Stevie Wonder, Florence & the Machine, Orbital, New Order, the XX and Hot Chip but with over 20 stages of live music action going down across the weekend, there’s always an amazing new discovery or total legend lurking around the corner to keep the party rolling. And with that in mind, Bestival organisers have news of two brilliant stages of incredible, cutting edge music that are sure to be massive draws this September to Bestival's music loving crowd.

Bestival are chuffed to announce the return of RizLab by revealing Ninja Tune and Big Dada as new curators delivering two days of truly innovative, genre defying artists for the Saturday and Sunday respectively. In celebration Bonobo has provided RizLab with an exclusive Letherette remix of his track 'All In Forms' as a taste of things to come.

On Saturday Ninja Tune is bringing out the big hitters with headline sets from Bonobo, Toddla T, Coldcut, Raf Daddy (The 2 Bears) and Actress (Werkdiscs). Ninja Tune DJs will set the tone for the day ahead of appearances by Raffertie, Slugabed and FaltyDL.

Not to be outdone, Big Dada steps up for the Sunday slot with performances from El-P (live) and Sticky scheduled to bring the festival to a close in style. Earlier in the day, Big Dada fans will be treated to Roots Manuva and the Banana Klan Soundsystem, a live set from Beak> and a collaborative Dels and Kwesachu performance.

RizLab will be revealing the details of Project 4 shortly, which will culminate in an exclusive hi-tech headline performance on the RizLab stage on Friday night.

Rob da Bank says: “As ever Rizlab have pulled a great bunch of selectors and live acts out of the bag and I know that the Rizlab stage is definitely gonna be a lockout from the moment it opens till the last airhorn runs out of gas on Sunday evening.”

Organisers are also thrilled that Arcadia will be on site with us at Robin Hill once again, this year with Arcadia’s Mechanical Cabaret, which has been put together especially for Bestival! A perennial smash hit at Bestival, Arcadia’s pyrotechnic delights have to be seen to be believed and this year they’re going to be next level. You have been warned! Raving long into the night Arcadia will be joined by a cavalcade of DJs dropping bombs on the ones and twos, including The Ratpack, Congo Natty, Foamo, Slamboree, JFB, Slipmatt, Stanton Warriors, Kissy Sell Out, Hybrid (History Of Hybrid Set), Smerin DJ set, Eats Everything (Dirty Bird), Asbo Disco, DJ Die & Mc Inja, Rob da Bank, Wonka, Bertie, Shepdog and Heatwave.

“Arcadia is just my favourite stage at Bestival – always fiery and exciting and musically off the wall.. this year’s shenanigans are gonna be very special!” Rob da Bank

“We’re looking forward to coming back to Bestival this year and having a chance to hit it hard. We’ll be joined by the craziest inventors we’ve met on our travels around the globe and for the first time ever getting a chance to collaborate all there madness in to one show ‘The Mechanical Cabaret’. We’re sure you wont miss us after dusk with our new fire balls roiling up in the sky, but if you did you’d be missing out on madmen riding motorcycles along wires, flaming tornadoes, wacky sculptures, fire instruments and one phat rave! See you on the dance floor.” Pip & Bert – Arcadia Spectacular
